Bayview is a self-catering, superbly-furnished, crisp and contemporary, fully-equipped private home. Spread out over 3 floors, Bayview consists of a 3 bedroom luxury living space and a spacious one bedroom flatlet. The flatlet is situated on the 1st floor and is possible to rent separately or together with the 3 bedroom apartment. Please note that there is a minimum of three nights per booking.
Our home is located in Suikerbossie Drive, within the most prestigious area of Gordon's Bay - a sophisticated haven which overlooks the old harbour, Bikini Beach and a Whale lookout point.
Should you visit, you will be intoxicated by stunning views from every room, with panoramic vistas over False Bay. On a clear day you can see Table Mountain and Simons Town in the distance.

The 3 bedroom living area has 1 bedroom with a king size double bed and 2 bedrooms with large twin beds. Each bedroom has air conditioning and is en suite and has large, walk-in cupboards and every room has fabulous sea views. Superbly-appointed interiors rarely look more appealing than this. There is even a private lift, ensuring comfortable and easy access to modern luxury. There is generous living space with two lounges. The main living area is open plan and has a fully-equipped kitchen with modern technistone surfaces, a separate scullery, walk-in pantry, gas cooker/oven, washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher and kettle. There is full DSTV and complimentary wifi. On request we can provide one extra bed and a cot.
The 2nd lounge flows onto a generous sun deck where you can suntan or braai (barbecue) while overlooking the sea. A Jacuzzi overlooks the stunning view.
There are private parking bays outside the house. The lift operates from the ground floor to the 3 bedroom apartment. There is an automatic security response system in place.

The 1 bedroom flat let is very spacious with over 130 square meters of living space with fabulous views over False Bay. It consists of a living room and bedroom with a large king size double bed en suite. There is full DSTV, complimentary wifi and a mini kitchenette with a 2 burner unit, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. The living room has a sleeper couch and on request we can provide one extra bed and a cot.
Location
Gordon's Bay overlooks False Bay and is framed by a backdrop of mountains. It is easily reached via a 50 minute drive out of Cape Town on a dual carriageway. It is 35 minutes to the airport, 15 minutes to the winelands and 45 minutes to Hermanus via the most exquisite coastal road, winding through several coastal towns en route. During the Whale season, there is a high chance of spotting these magnificent creatures by the dozens. It is a 50 minute drive to the Hugenot village of Franschhoek via a spectacular drive through nature reserves.
Climate
The climate is Mediterranean with average max temperatures of 30 degrees centigrade from December to March. The summers are warm and dry with occasional showers and windy days in between. The max average temperature from May to September is 18 degrees centigrade. Spring and Autumn enjoy mild and balmy days and warm evenings. Short-lived storms are interspersed by sunny days. The winters tend to be mild and because Gordon's Bay enjoys the rare feature of looking north over the sea the climate is mild, very rarely dropping below 10 degrees.
